but now just blow through city streets

two years ago, we travelled north
and settled in a town
i fell in love with gloucester
but we had to move back down

eight years ago, we drove all night
chased summer down the coast
i fell in love with sarasota
but it wasn't really home

in some recurring dream, we're seventeen
but we have never met
some knot in fate, some chance i didn't take
where would we be right now?
